There's something deceptively hard about photographing a hamburger. Everyone thinks they know what a burger looks like — until you put one on a pure white backdrop and realize every crumb, every drip of sauce, every glisten of char has nowhere to hide.

That's exactly the challenge behind this week's feature shot: a tight, close-up hamburger portrait, isolated on white. No distractions, no plate, no busy table setting — just the burger, lit and framed until the texture does all the talking. The seared crust on the bun, the slow melt of cheese finding its way into the grooves of the patty, the fresh-cut edge of a tomato slice catching the light — this is food photography stripped down to its essentials, where lighting and composition have to carry the entire story.
